I’m watching the Maui Jim Maui Invitational. Well, not really watching it. It’s on TV. Bill Walton and Maui go together, I think, but that’s about all that has pierced my consciousness. I look up after hearing Walton mention Willie Mays. Indiana leads St. John’s, 16-8.

It beats The Weather Channel, especially since the forecast is all-clear here.

TCM is running a Victor Mature movie about Navy officers trying to produce a shark repellant for seamen stranded in the water. In the war. In the war water.

The Sharkfighters is a bit too obscure for me right now. The Roman Invasion of Britain didn’t strike my fancy, either. That’s how I wound up on the basketball game.

What the hell time is it on Maui? I could look it up. I just don’t care enough. Like most other people on Twitter and Facebook.

The Republican frontrunner is refusing to admit he made up seeing the cheering Arabs of Jersey City. The runner-up denies charges that he didn’t try to stab his best friend and kill his mother. The once-presumptive frontrunner thinks he can tell a Christian refugee by looking at him.

“You can tell.”

On the Democratic side, the Republicans are giving socialism a good name.

On the international front, the president had nothing to do with anything that is good. If something bad happens, he’s supposed to be the president of France. This just flashed across the top of my screen: “Hostages Taken in Northern France Town.”
