Laurens plays three teams – Hillcrest, Hanna and Chapman – listed in the rankings. Clinton (Chapman, Chester) plays two, and Thornwell (Great Falls) plays one.

WPCC is broadcasting Clinton’s appearance in York, versus the host, in the final period of the Bill Pate White Rose Football Classic on Friday night at approximately 9 p.m.
The broadcast starts at 8 on 96.5 FM and 1410 AM.
WPCC also gets a head start on its Saturday Morning Rewind show, as well, going live from Whiteford’s Drive-In in Clinton from 8-9:30 a.m.
The Voice of the Red Devils, Buddy Bridges, anchors both shows.
Laurens opens play at 6 against Fort Mill, followed in order by Westwood-Providence, Clover-Providence day and Clinton-York.

Presbyterian College donned full pads for the first time on Wednesday. The Blue open at Murray (Ky.) State on Saturday, Sept. 2, with the first game game a week later against Virginia University of Lynchburg, which they defeated, 21-13, for the lone victory of the 2022 season.
