Presbyterian College basketball, in the span of a week, demonstrated its mastery of Columbia International University.
This, undoubtedly, was the plan.
The Blue Hose woman dominated the Rams, 95-43, six nights after the men won, 100-58.
Led by Bryanna Brady’s 18 points, leading five double-figure scorers, Presbyterian put up season highs in rebounds (60), assists (28) and points.
Nuria Cunill led the team with eight rebounds. Ashley Carrillo passed out a season-high seven assists, and the Hose scored 45 points off the bench.
Presbyterian (2-2) next plays East Tennessee State at home on Sunday at 3 p.m. Daja Taylor carried the load for CIU (1-4), scoring 22 points and executing four steals. Taylor hit only 6/16 shots, 5/14 from behind the three-point line. CIU shot .219 from the field, .133 in the fourth quarter.
The Blue Hose scored the game’s first nine points and led, 28-11, at the end of the first quarter, 52-27 at halftime and 81-37 at the end of three.
Before Sunday’s ETSU game, Presbyterian will be hosting Sunday Funday at 1 p.m., with carnival games, food trucks, a DJ and a gaming station among the attractions.

Many have said they intended to make a contribution to keep the site alive. I reckon they just don’t get around to it. I always list an address to send a check. I finally got it through my thick head that not that many people write checks nowadays. For example, me. A more convenient means might be sending a reasonable amount to DHK Sports on Venmo.

Another way I can make a little is if you purchase my books at MonteDutton.net. They’re quite entertaining in spite of the fellow who wrote them. Two of my novels, Cowboys Come Home and Lightning in a Bottle, are available in audio versions. The latest, The Latter Days, is about baseball.
