I don’t know what’s going to happen. Some don’t think I know what happened every day.
When a storm heads in this direction, it’s like politics is every day.
As I took one last look Tuesday night at contemporary meteorology, it looked as if football can’t be played on Thursday or Friday, which could mean that all of it is played on Saturday, or some of it is played on Monday,

I’m sure I’m not going to be in Clinton twice, Laurens twice and Greenville at the same time. I might be able to make two of them. Either way, there’s going to be a heap of stat studying and capturing games the best I can.
Naturally, plans started to take shape as Hurricane Helene did in the Gulf of Mexico.

Lexington (3-1) takes on Laurens (0-4) Wednesday-night at K.C. Hanna Stadium.
The Wildcats are to take on the Raiders at 7 p.m., not the standard 7:30. The junior-varsity game has been canceled.
LDHS Homecoming has been moved to Oct. 4 against Fountain Inn.
WLBG (860 AM, 104.1 FM, wlbg.com) goes on the air at 6:20 p.m.

Among other Upstate games rescheduled for Wednesday are BHP-Chapman, Blacksburg-Broome and Byrnes-Dorman.
The Union County (1-4) at Clinton (3-2) game has not been changed. Nor is it likely to be played on Friday.
This week is also the scheduled Homecoming at CHS. Whenever the game is played, radio coverage is on WPCC (1410 AM, 96.5 FM, largetime.net) beginning at 7 p.m.
The JV game is still on at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Newberry Academy at Laurens Academy is officially still on Friday at Todd Kirk Field, but, if, as expected, it can’t be played, the Crusaders will play the Eagles on Oct. 18, previously a bye week.
Last week’s Clinton loss at Daniel was hardly a surprise to voters in the S.C. Media poll, where the Red Devils dropped only one spot, from second to third, in the weekly rankings.

Still, the future of the site is threatened.
Advertising alone will not keep me going, but there’s room for a few more. Every ad is inset in every story.
You can support my site in several ways.

Support the advertisers. They are all fine people who support my efforts, not to mention those of the kids, coaches, parents and fans.

In the off chance you’d like to read my novels and other books, they’re available on Amazon and many prominent bookseller sites. You can read them on your phones and other devices for a modest cost. I make a bit more if you purchase the actual books, but what I mainly want is for folks to read them.
Read my novel of small-town crime and corruption, Forgive Us Our Trespasses. Download it for $3.99, or order it in paperback for $16.95.
