It was a major. The Open Championship, or, since we have an Open across the pond, too, the British …
Expectations and aspirations
By MONTE DUTTON Corey Fountain has many holes to fill. (Monte Dutton photo) YORK – High-school media days, on the rare occasions when they have them anymore, are always family affairs. Once the players get accustomed to overheating, the fans will heat up, and the weather makes no difference in that. The level of sportsmanship on the field …
Sometimes it’s hard to spell it all out
By MONTE DUTTON (Pixabay) https://www.sadlerhughes.com/ Because I think a lot on weekends … I suspect many more foreign athletes are limited to a single or nick name – Ichiro, “The Joker,” Ohtani, Pele, et al. --- because of a reluctance to pronounce the names. It’s as true of me as broadcasters, but I do have …
Hard to please and worth it
By MONTE DUTTON (Furman graphic) It’s difficult to describe a man simply from a panorama of nearly half a century. Richard Brinsley Sheridan had a righteous voice. https://dunesproperties.com/agent/mark-mitchell/ Football players did what he told them. He told them to win. He molded them to be indomitable. They expected to win. https://www.facebook.com/UpstateInsuranceConsultants Dick Sheridan died in …
